National Instruments MXI-2 Type M2 Cable

The National Instruments MXI-2 Type M2 Cable (Part Number: 182802A-004) is designed to provide connectivity between VXI and external systems. This cable comes with a standard MXI-2 connector and a daisy-chain connector. You can use this cable for daisy-chaining multiple mainframes with the help of the right-angle daisy-chain connector. The daisy-chain MXI-2 connector plugs into a standard VXI interface, while still offering an unoccupied, male MXI-2 connector. Thus, you can plug in another MXI-2 cable to connect the existing system to another system or chassis.

This cable has a length of 4 meters. There are similar cables that are 1 m, 2 m, 6 m, 8 m, and 20 m. The MXI-2 Type M2 Cable cannot be used with standard data acquisition devices or boards since it is specifically designed for VME and VXI systems. You can use this cable to design a system where VXI modules need to be connected with PCI modules hosted by standard PCs.
